Bespoke Curtains & Blinds

We specialise in handmade, interlined curtains and blinds made properly, using traditional methods that ensure structure, weight and longevity.

Every project is made to measure and individually crafted in our Bury St Edmunds workroom.

We create:

• • Lined and interlined curtains
  • Roman blinds
  • Pelmets, swags & tails
  • Bed dressings
  • Small upholstery including headboards, dining chairs and window seats.

We can supply the main fabrics, linings, interlinings, poles, tracks and headrails or we are very happy to work with the fabric you have already chosen.

We have accounts with all the well-known fabric houses and we can order your fabric samples from them for free for you. We've included our list of Fabric Houses for your easy reference.

How it works

We provide initial quotations based on provisional sizes. Final making measurements are taken once hardware is in place to ensure everything fits exactly as it should.

We are not interior designers, but we are very comfortable collaborating with your chosen designer or working directly with you to bring your vision to life. We can recommend two very good ones we have worked with for many years - Kate Samengo-Turner & Simon Black Interiors. Both of these believe an individual client's taste is more important than a design style.

Our focus is always the same: a flawless finish that hangs beautifully and lasts for years.

Bespoke Cushions

Cushions are often the finishing touch that brings a scheme together — and they deserve just as much attention to detail.

We make square, oblong and round cushion cases in a wide range of sizes

Edge finishes include:

• • Piped
  • Plain knife edge
  • Oxford flange

We will advise on the correct pad size for a full, luxurious look. As a rule, cushion pads should be slightly larger than the case to prevent sagging corners.

Filling options:

• • Feather – traditional and plumpable
  • Feather & Down – lighter and softer feel
  • Fibre – suitable for display cushions
  • Wool – a natural alternative for those with feather allergies or anyone keen to support British wool producers.
  • Specialist fillings and custom sizes are also available to order.

Whether you’re refreshing a sofa or completing a full room scheme, bespoke cushions allow you to introduce texture, colour and personality with precision.

Roman Blind Clinic

Roman blinds work hard and occasionally need attention.

We run a dedicated Roman Blind Clinic for repairs and headrail replacements.

We stock:

• • Replacement cassette headrails
  • Brackets
  • Chains
  • Spools
  • Cord and cord stops.

Appointments are available from 8am–1pm on the second Saturday of each month.

Where possible, repairs can be completed during your appointment. If a blind requires re-making to replace the lining, this is scheduled into the workroom and can take up to three weeks during busy periods.
